The aggregates and bitumen are separately heated to a temperature of 154 to 160°C and 175 to 190°C, respectively. The quantity of bitumen by weight of the mix is measured and poured into the heated aggregate. The mix is uniformly blended and poured into a standard cylindrical mould (102 mm diameter and 64 mm depth) heated to 93-149°C.
